Golf & Grounds Equipment Demo Specialist

We currently have an opening for a Golf & Grounds Equipment Demo Specialist based out of our Berkeley, Missouri office. This role is instrumental in facilitating the sales process by demonstrating features, benefits, function, and proper usage of commercial mowers and utility vehicles with existing and new customers. You will foster strong customer relationships and professionally and safely pick up and deliver equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Professionally demonstrate equipment: instruct end users as to use, safety, and features of the overall operation of equipment.
- Equipment technology proficiency of Toro products and platforms; including GeoLink, Toro TurfPro/RangePro, Hybrid, Lithium-Ion & evolving connected solutions.
- Demonstrate select autonomous equipment.
- Responsible for scheduling customer demonstrations for assigned territory based on pre-identified opportunities.
- Responsible for internal reporting of customer information and feedback utilizing Salesforce and Microsoft Excel.
- Safely and properly load, deliver, and pick up equipment as scheduled, utilizing a company provided F250 truck with gooseneck trailer.
- Maintain trucks and trailers: routine maintenance, safety, and cleanliness.
- Ensure product is delivered clean, maintained and ready for immediate operation. Post demo reporting of equipment condition & hours of use.
- Occasional overnight travel. Majority of time will be spent working independently in MTI territories covering Eastern Missouri, Central & Southern Illinois and Southern Iowa.
- Understand and adhere to all DOT requirements and accurately maintain DOT logbooks.
- Collaborate effectively with Sales Team and assist other MTI departments as needed.
- Continual training of Toro Equipment, technologies and allied products.
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Golf and Grounds equipment technology knowledge is a must.
- Experience as a Golf Course Superintendent and/or Assistant is preferred.
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
- Ability to navigate around local and surrounding states.
- Individual must possess strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage workload and work independently.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee will drive a company vehicle and must meet DOT medical exam requirements. Must be able to occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Work is performed outdoors and on equipment and trucks. There is exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
