MTI Distributing, Inc., a subsidiary of The Toro Company, is the Upper Midwest’s leading supplier of products and services to the green industries. Through a combination of exceptional products and superior service, MTI is in the business of providing landscape beautification solutions to golf courses, schools, municipalities, landscape contractors, and independent dealers.

We currently have an opening for a Technology Deployment Specialist based out of our Brooklyn Center, MN office.  This position is responsible for demonstrating and deploying technology products including demonstrating features, benefits, proper function, troubleshooting, and use to existing and new customers across the entire MTI sales territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for efficiently scheduling and coordinating customer demonstrations and deployments.
  • Assist in leading internal and external training events.
  • Assist Sales Representatives in presenting the suite of technology products.
  • Participate in regional association events to help educate customers on the value of technology within their operations with practical and tangible solutions.
  • Work with customers during the installation and post sales process to maximize product success.
  • Work a full-time schedule that adjusts based on customer requirements to ensure timely support and service delivery. 
  • This is a position in which the candidate will have significant interaction with MTI customers and must possess good interpersonal skills.  Interaction will be in multiple forms, including but not limited to; digital, phone, and in-person.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Up to 50% overnight travel throughout the year, heavier during the turf growing season.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with professional turf and/or turf maintenance equipment operation and maintenance is preferred.
  • Turf equipment knowledge and robotics experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage workload and excel at prioritizing and organizing tasks to optimize efficiency.
  • Valid/clean driver’s license.
  • Ability to navigate around local and surrounding states.
  • Ability to use computers; proficiency in the MS office suite is required.

Annual salary $75,000 - $95,000; based upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.  Our benefit program includes:  401(k), medical, dental, vision disability and life insurance, PTO and holiday pay.
