Through a combination of exceptional products and superior service, MTI is in the business of providing landscape beautification solutions to golf courses, schools, municipalities, landscape contractors, and independent dealers.

We currently have an opening for a Seasonal Store Assistant in our Maple Grove, Minnesota location.  This position is responsible for assisting the Store Manager with customer orders and warehouse duties.  The position is full-time (40 hours per week) for the summer.  Days only, no nights or weekends! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell store products.
  • Assist store customers by entering orders, picking and packing product, and loading for delivery.
  • Answer customer phone calls.
  • Ship and receive product.
  • Stock store shelves.
  • Assist with set up of product displays.
  • Keep store organized and clean.
  • Process warranty product and claims.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts as required.
  • Perform store activities in Manager’s absence. 

Education and/or Experience
  • Previous customer service experience is required.
  • Possess the skills, attitude, and commitment to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Knowledge of irrigation products is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.


Physical Demands
Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. The job involves walking and working on slippery surfaces. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.

Work Environment
Employees primarily work in the warehouse and are exposed to loud noise levels, vibration, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, chemicals, mechanical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes.

Salary $20 - $22 / hour, based upon the qualifications of the selected candidate.  Our benefit program includes:  401(k), medical, dental, vision disability and life insurance, PTO and holiday pay.
